Faith in Corrections
2nd Annual Conference on May 2 –3, 2008

 

Conference Goals

We seek to:
  • Energize volunteers by actively engaging them in the rehabilitative aspect of corrections, educating them in the ways they can help lower the recidivism rate in the State of Tennessee;
  • Empower volunteers by educating them as a passionate group who are aware of the current issues surrounding corrections as well as affecting thousands of families;
  • Equip volunteers with knowledge and tools that will increase their serve with a renewed sense of call;
  • Encourage volunteers by acknowledging the important help that Volunteers provide to the Department of Corrections and society at large.

This conference will help non-profits, faith-based organizations, and individuals
utilize their local area resources while harnessing the power of networking.

Volunteer Certification Opportunity

This conference has been planned with two sessions available for Volunteer Recertification. Recertification will ensure a current volunteer’s status for the next 12 months.

Individuals wishing to become new volunteers may obtain applications and the schedule for First-time Certification at the Conference.

 

Conference Etiquette

Participants are asked to turn off cell phones and pagers while attending the Conference or change to silent signal. Please step outside the room when responding to a page or call.
